A Tribute Run for Kevin Froment 14th Sept. 2025 The tribute run for Kevin Froment our long term Newsletter Editor extraordinaire who passed away in July, took place from Goddards Brewery Arreton at 2pm. 30 cars from the VHVC Ltd and Jaguar Club assembled on the lawn in front of the Brewery braving the predicted bad weather, many with their classics. Daughter Samantha had visited Kevins resting place in the morning and in no uncertain terms, told him to make sure it didn’t rain until after the run. It worked!!, the rain held off until everybody had parked up and were in the café for teas and cake. The request was for people to wear Christmas jumpers as kevin loved everything about Christmas. Members did not disappoint as you will see in the photo below. Many thanks who wore their jumpers in Kevins honour. He would have appreciated the surprised looks on visitors arriving in the café thinking it was a little early for Christmas but brought many smiles. 36 members sat down for tea and chat remembering Kevin, particularly Adam and Sam who reminded us of the many stories of his life as a father and friend to so many. Sam thanked everyone for coming despite the forecast. Sam would also like to say to everyone, could I also add a huge thanks to Chris Batchelor for organising and to the many people who have shown our family light in a dark time. It’s so lovely to hear people talking about what a great man he was to them and how his laughter lives on through everyone we meet. Just after 4pm we made our leave across the tracks.
