AUTO-FEST IOW HOSTED BY THE JAGUAR ENTHUSIASTS CLUB Sun 10th Aug.2025 The word was to arrive early to enter the show at Sandown Airport, on arrival at 9.15am it was clear that many more people had arrived much earlier, as the field was looking full of cars which had been arriving since 7.30am. After a short queue to show our passes, marshals took us to two designated rows reserved for the VHHVC members. Sandra and son Adam soon had the kettle on and the VHVC flag erected. We watched as a steady stream of cars arrived and found spaces to park, we were told that around 250 cars lined up, which extended far down the side of the flight path. As the day wore on Umbrellas were up to shade from the glorious sunshine. Samba drums and later Live pop music could be heard. Walking round the show and catching up with many in the IoW Classic Community always makes the day. Couple of enquiries for membership will surely materialise and add yet more to our membership. As the day wore on, plenty of chat and banter created a great atmosphere, particularly as Adam and Sandra regaled many humorous moments during Kevin Froment’s exploits throughout his life, with many also offering their condolences to Sandra from many different friends and other club members. Just emphasising the impact, he had on everyone connected to the Island Classic car fraternity. Our thanks to the J.E.C. for putting on another relaxing and well organised show, we look forward to next year.
