Breakfast Morning Wed 10th Sept Sportsman’s Rest Nikki Price welcomed us at The Sportsman’s Rest at 10am. Torrential rain in the morning, but the sun came out when we arrived there. 13 members, and 2 dogs settled down for breakfast. Help yourself to coffee and tea, then breakfast orders were taken. Service was quick and the choices made. were soon eaten. New Member Ian Scragg joined later with his son, both made welcome. Nikki is retiring next year, when the pub will be run by the Cricket Club, so we will still retain the Sportsman’s as a breakfast option. After eating, and a good chat amongst us all, it was time to leave. We thanked Nikki for her hospitality, leaving late morning the weather had much improved for the drive home.
