Chairman’s Chatter June 2021
Where does the time go? Another month gone so quickly……
So what news from me? Well, we had a great ride around on Peter’s run/treasure hunt, many people I spoke with enjoyed it very much and I hope we do something similar again….well done Peter.
We recently had a very good committee meeting and sorted out many things for the club’s future.
Richard Lewis has regrettably resigned from his events organiser position due to pressure of work and family commitments and I would like to thank him for his past efforts, he has agreed to stay on the committee. We are organising events for the future. I would strongly recommend you check the website to make sure they are still on.
I have been working on my Guzzi and have replaced the tyres ( ordered Monday lunchtime and delivered Tuesday afternoon! great service Vintage tyre supplies ) had the brakes relined, made up some new control cables and got the electrics working. Much to my surprise 70 year old Italian electrics responded to a clean up and all worked apart from the stop light switch……very impressed.
So I could not postpone it any longer. I put some petrol in it and started kicking, I would love to say it started first kick but it was more like hundred and first! When it did run it leaked oil out so more work……never mind.
Next month there will hopefully be news of more money given to charity, my favourite part of being chairman.
Take care hope to see you about soon.
