I of W Classic Motor Show, Saturday 6th September 2025. After an early morning alarm call, I met with other VHVC members at Curry’s’ car park for an 8-00 am departure to Newport Town Quay for the above show. We had sent a couple of members in advance to ensure our designated parking area remained exclusive to the VHVC. By just after 8-00 am nearly all the attending members were parked and settled in to enjoy the show. There was an eclectic display of cars from very early to more modern super cars, something for everybody. The weather was dry and sunny and a steady stream of spectators walked among the exhibits. Many of the car owners were old friends who attended each year and enjoyed meeting each other again. Food and drinks were available, and I think Vic Gallucci would have been impressed. I of W Classic Motor Show, Sunday 7th September 2025. We left the L A Bowl car park in Ryde just before 8-00 am to ensure the club parked together alongside the Canoe Lake. Unfortunately, members became separated and the parking was haphazard to say the least. Eventually we were all parked and ready to enjoy the day. Many cars had obviously parked overnight, and the area was nearly full when we were finally parked. I think there were more cars attending than had been at Newport the previous day. There was plenty of interest in the cars from the public and it was busy all day. Despite an onerous forecast the weather remained dry apart from a few spots of rain at the end of the day. I think it was a successful show and a free day out for the attending public. Look forward to next year.
