Morris Minor Open Day Havenstreet 31st August When we arrived the show ground was already filled with Morris Minors of all descriptions and colour. There were saloons. vans and pick-up trucks and an unusual Camper van model which had been bought by an Island resident from Mathewson’s of Banger and Cash fame, reputed to be the only one ever made. Many of the exhibits were from the mainland, some of whom had spent the weekend on site and were not deterred by the inclement weather. There were a couple of stalls selling autojumble and a raffle was organised with many prizes. The weather was showery with spells of sunshine in between which became longer periods during the afternoon. Bill Rasmussen
