On one of the finest sunny and dry days of the winter 25 cars assembled at Carpetright car park for the run arranged by Chris and Jenny Belford, who due to unforeseen circumstances were unable to officiate, but were able to be at the start to wish everyone well. Thanks to them for doing the route and Quiz. We arrived at our destination, Chessell Pottery where tables had been reserved and a fine array of cakes were on offer. Over 30 members sat down to tea, chat, cake and the 21 question Quiz. After finishing the tea and cakes as well as the quiz, the answers were announced. Winners after a very close tie break were 1st Chris and Mel Richards, 2nd Judy and Roger Sellars, 3rd Vickie and Bill Rasmussen. The photos speak a thousand words. Natalie Cutting was welcomed on attending their first run in the 1958 Austin Healey Frog Eye Sprite. After thanking Chessell for looking after us and the members who attended, with the reminder that the next event was the Easter Collection for Mountbatten Hospice wearing any fancy dress in St Thomas’ Sq 10 am to 3pm on Sat 4th April.
