Vectis 40s Group Sat 8th Aug at Goddards with VHVC Attending Another sunny day attended by around 14 members to support the show by the Vectis 1940s Group. Umbrellas were the order of the day to keep the burning sun at bay. A few public visitors wandered around, but most had arrived to dine in the restaurant up in the top floor. One tractor, some stationary engines and Peter Bird had driven the ex-Gary Driscoll restored and previously owned Recovery lorry looking bright and shiny in its red livery. The Plaza ice cream van was the most visited of all the stalls. Viewing footfall was very low. By 3pm we were ready to leave. Such a shame that few members cars were on show out of our huge membership.
