Yarmouth Carnival on the Green 22nd Aug 2026 On a clear blue sky morning with a nice cooling breeze, members began arriving from 08.30am onwards, by 10.30, 26 Classic Cars had taken up the whole roadside frontage. People passing by stopped to chat and admire the cars, many having owned similar makes in the past. Roger and Judy Sellars arrived in their newly acquired Old English White MGB Roadster, the car having quite a history associated with the number 50 on the side. Sandra and Vickie were instrumental in serving us Bacon Butties and Coffee which went down well with cake to follow. The day passed very quickly and by 3pm the carnival floats began to arrive. Around 4pm as we began to leave the site, we found ourselves at the tail end of the Carnival procession at a slow pace until the procession turned off into Yarmouth High Street. A big Thank You to Jonathan Billowes and his team for inviting us once again to add to the festive action on the final day. A good turnout yet again thanks to all the members who added to the festive day. We look forward to next year and hope for the brilliant similar weather.
